Missing Features
Analytics, automation and integrations that install as a single ACAP app and run directly on the camera. No servers, no cloud, no extra hardware.
Turn on only the capabilities a site needs. Each is permission aware and configurable from the camera web UI.
Enrich the AXIS License Plate Verifier with occupancy monitoring and access control.
Read an analog gauge and publish the value as an event.
Trigger when a chosen color appears inside a drawn region.
Fire actions from AXIS scene metadata when objects cross multiple lines.
Wire inputs to actions on a visual node canvas, no code required.
Watch live values and drive flows from a widget board of gauges, charts, camera views and buttons.
Save a snapshot to the SD card on any event, then build a timelapse from the frames.
Browse and manage the camera SD card from a built in file explorer.
Automation
Connect a source, add a rule, and pick an action. Flow turns camera events into decisions without a line of code, and the Flow dashboard shows what is running.
Connectors are Flow nodes. Use one as a source to pull state in, or as an action to push events out to the systems you already run. More are added over time.
Subscribe to XProtect events, and trigger events, recordings, outputs and bookmarks in the VMS.
Subscribe to Axis and ONVIF device events, or publish your own for Axis rules and ONVIF ready VMS systems.
Expose an incoming HTTP or HTTPS endpoint so any request becomes a flow trigger, with optional auth.
Call any HTTP endpoint with a payload built from live event values.
Read and write Modbus TCP registers on industrial devices.
Read, write and subscribe to values on OPC UA servers on the plant network.
Listen on a TCP port for incoming messages, or send TCP payloads to another host.
Read from or write to a SQL database as a flow source or action.
Flow dashboard
Flow is for building. The dashboard is for running. Drop widgets onto a grid, bind each one to any node in any flow, and watch the values update live over a single connection. No editor, no wiring, just the numbers and controls a shift actually needs.
It is not read only. Button and input widgets write straight back into the running flow, so an operator can open a gate, arm a rule or set a value from the same screen they monitor.
Milestone XProtect™
The camera talks to your XProtect servers directly. No plugin to install on the VMS, no MIP SDK, and no extra Windows machine in between. Two Flow nodes cover both directions, so events come in from the VMS and go back out to it on the same connection.
Works with XProtect 2023 R3 and later (Corporate, Expert and Professional+), connecting through your Milestone API Gateway.
Gauge reader
Point the camera at a pressure, temperature or level gauge and the reader turns the needle position into a live value. You mark the dial once on a video overlay: drag the pivot, the min and max sweep handles, and the inner and outer radius that set the ring the algorithm scans. Set the printed scale (min, max, unit and decimals) and the value comes out in real units.
Run up to four profiles at once, each with its own video channel, resolution, framerate and set of gauges, so one camera can watch several instruments in parallel.
Spot color detection
Draw a circle over a round indicator light, or a rectangle over a bar, panel or label. Each frame the detector samples the average color inside every region, matches it to the nearest entry in your palette, and reports the name. A hysteresis threshold suppresses flicker so the state only flips on a real color shift.
Build the palette from ready-made entries (including traffic red, yellow and green), add your own by hex, or click a live region to capture the color it sees right now. Up to four profiles run side by side, each with its own regions, palette and rules.
Parking management
Parking Management enriches the AXIS License Plate Verifier. It takes the plates the Verifier reads and adds occupancy monitoring, access control, entry and exit snapshots, and a live view of how full each zone is. History gives a searchable record you can export to CSV.
Every view is permission aware, so operators, viewers and administrators each see only what their role allows.
Storage and media
Image to SD card saves a still to the camera SD card whenever an event fires, from any of up to eight channels, and keeps the folder inside your storage limit in the background. Point it at a gate, a process or a construction site and let the pictures pile up.
Browse what you captured by date, then the built in Video Generator turns the range into a single MP4 timelapse, encoded right in the browser with a live frame count, a preview and a download.
Timelapse building uses a modern browser video feature, so open the camera over HTTPS.
